Nephrite is actually a compound of jade & other minerals, often one called actinolite. Its colours range from off-greens to browns to grays to pinkish hues. Nephrite helps unity & equality between the sexes in general, but is especially energising & balancing in personal relationships. It also helps one balance themselves, physically, spiritually, & emotionally. Nephrite is very protective, thought to provide an invisible barrier against disease & attacks. Many ancient Asian relics are nephrite jade, as it was thought in itself to bless everything it touch thus gave additional strength to amulets & daily implements.
